February Favorites

Hey critters!

I don't always post monthly favorites, but I had a lot of things that I wanted to share that I loved this month!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5soeorR6ss

February Favorites
Click the images above to view product details and find them in the stores!

Scrunchies from Claire's
I love these so much because they are great for your hair AND look super cute. Whenever I need to throw mine up I use these scrunchies and rock my inner 90's girl!

Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Brush
Thank you Aunt Amy for getting this for my for Christmas! I literally use it every day to give my hair shape and volume. It is the only heat product I will ever have to use in my hair!
E.L.F. Matte Lip Color in Nearly Nude
I wanted a pale nude lip and that's exactly what I can get with this product. Using a matte color opposed to something with a shine means I have the option to wear it plain and be matte or add a gloss over top for a perfect shine.

E.L.F. Finishing Spray
Another E.L.F. product because you can never go wrong with cheap! I have never used a finishing spray before, but I love the way that this one makes me make-up look and my face feel.
E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator
Lots of lip exfoliating products can be really expensive. This one is only $3, tastes great (haha, even thought I don't think you are supposed to be tasting it), and makes my lips feel fresh and new.
Better Homes and Gardens' Wax Cubes in Butterscotch Maple Cream
As another Christmas present my mom got me a warmer. I love the beautiful light it puts off and the warm smell that comes with. Currently this is my favorite flavor because it's not to festive and makes my room feel cozy.
Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Body Mist
I bought this this month with a coupon to get it for $5!! Sky came shopping with me and we sprayed a whole bunch to pick out our favorite. I like wearing a scent that I know he loves.
Aviator styled sunglasses from Charlotte Russe
As the season gets warmer I often find myself being drawn to the sunglasses craze. These cheapies are from Charlotte Russe and look super flattering with any outfit.

Old Navy's Black Chelsea Boot
I cannot even express how much I love these shoes! I have literally been wearing them every day. They are the perfect shoe when I don't want to wear my chunky boots or ballet flats--a prefect in between.

Let me know if you have any similar favorites this month or have any suggestions for me!

Today I wanted to share my skincare routine with all of you. I have been doing these same steps, using nearly all the same products, and keeping up with this routine for almost a year now.

There are other steps in my routine that I didn't include like my weekly facial mask and how I use my spin brush exfoliater every other day. But, mostly I wanted to share with you the products that I have been using on the daily!

My Make-up Essentials

Hey Critters!

Happy Wednesday.
Today I am bringing you a quick post of my make-up essentials. These are things that must go into my bag if I am leaving for the weekend, or spending a couple days away from home (and don't find it necessary to pack up all of my make-up things).
Don't forget to scroll all the way to the bottom to check out my super fast and simple reviews.

Danyzell's Make-up Essentials
Click the image to find stores and prices

  • Volume Express The Falsies Mascara is a product that I feel like I have used ever since I started wearing make-up. In all honesty, I haven't really tried any other kinds of mascara, but I feel like this one perfectly plumps and lengthens my lashes. Plus, I find this to have the easiest-to-use brush.

  • My new MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation is a wonder. I really have only used it for a couple weeks, but I love the coverage that it gives me. It never feels cakey and stays on all day. Check out my haul post to see even more!

  • Revlon's Black Cherry Lipstick is a must in any grungy girls make-up routine. I can line my lips in black for a deep vampy look, or use my chocolate/red liner and a thin layer of this color to make my lips pop in any outfit.

  • Benefit's Porefessional Primer was a bit pricey, but so far it seems to be worth it. It was part of my October Favorites, and I didn't lie when I said it was amazing! Check that post out for more details.

  • Any liquid eyeliner will do. I have found that E.L.F.'s Liguid Eyeliner works perfectly fine for me, and it is dirt cheap. How could you go wrong? I have never had any issues with smearing or flakiness. The only downfall is that it takes forever to dry, but whatever, I can wait.

  • Any finally, another new addition to my make-up, E.L.F.'s Contouring and Bronzer Pallet! I love the look of highlighted and bronzed cheekbones. This compact is super cheap, as well. And so far it suits my need. I have never really used a bronzer before, so I can't really give an honest review.

  • Okay critters! That's it for my simple, every day, make-up essentials. I really hope you guys enjoyed it. Please feel free to ask any questions in the comment section below. Have you used any of these products? I would love to see what makes up your make-up essentials list.

    Christmas List 2013

    Hey critters!

The purpose of this post is mainly meant for my family and really close friends.
I figured that giving a detailed explanation with pictures, websites, and prices all attached in one spot would be way easier than writing a list on paper, and then expecting my family to find the stuff that I am looking for. So, for the past couple of weeks I have been compiling images, websites, and more in a folder on my desktop just for this very detailed list! I really hope this makes it easier on all of my family and friends.
Also, I need to mention that some of the stuff on my list is pretty pricey. I made the list as a large display of a wide range of things that I have been wanting; therefore, I honestly do not expect to get all of this, or even half of it, for Christmas. I always feel really selfish when making a Christmas list, but I guess that's just how it is when you are forced to ask for things even though you are completely content with the things you already have. I do not, by any means, need any of this stuff.
FYI: The list is in no particular order at all!
Don't forget to scroll all the way to the bottom and check out each items specifics like prices, places, and sizes.

    1) Beauty Blender- This little thing is a make-up life saver (or so people say), and I have been dying to try it. You can buy these at a lot of different make-up stores and there are plenty of dupes out there, so I don't necessarily need the brand name one. The Beauty Blender comes in one size and can run from $19.95- $28.95 from Sephora.

    2) Amerie High Shine High Waisted Disco Pants- I have seen a lot of people on YouTube with these sort of pants, and I just love them. I think that I would be happy with any sort of disco pant, but I founds some really nice ones for pretty cheep at boohoo.com. I believe that I would need a size 4, and they cost $16.

    3) Be Seen Liquid Crop Top- Okay, so I know a lot of the clothing that I have listed is specific stuff; that being said, I would be happy with basically anything similar. I just wanted to be as specific as possible to let you know what I really liked. This is a crop top from Forever 21. I think my size would be a small. The cost is $13.80.

    4) Classic Tight- I fell in love with the classic tights while looking for different things on the Forever 21 website. I feel like I desperately need all of the colors. Really all I want is some colorful tights. The ones I found cost $5.80 each. However, sizing is hard--sometimes I like to get med/lg in order to suit my long legs, but I think the sm/med will fit just fine, too.

    5) Finn Knit Sweater- This sweater is from Brandy Melville; however, there is no store near here. So, you would have to order it online. I love the flowiness of it, and I think it looks super comfy! It comes in one size and cost $55.

    6) Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Air Brush- I think this product will be perfect for me. It is a spinning blow dryer that I can use on my short hair to create lots of volume! I have seen is all over the place listed at varying prices. The one at WalMart costs $39.05.

    7) Crazy Socks- The ones that I have shown are called the Dinosaurs Socks from Urban Outfitters. All of UO's socks run 3 for $20, and I absolutely love them. However, I just want some crazy, fun socks to have peeking out above my boots!

    8) Doc Marten's- Okay, so this shoe is definitely one of my top three favorite things on this list. I haven't quite decided if I want the "original" ones or the shiny leather ones. I can think of so many outfits that these chunky boots can go with, and I can't wait to have some as part of my wardrobe. Doc Marten's have an official website that you can order from or most shoe stores carry them as well, like Journey's. Lately, I have been wearing a size 8 in most shoes, so that's what I would purchase.

    9) Cool Girl Skater Skirt- I love the look of the circle skirt! I own a black cotton one and would die to have an awesome leather looking one like this skirt from Forever 21. I'm sure you can find a skirt like this at many stores, but as I looked around this specific skater skirt was my favorite. It goes for $19.80, and I am a size small.

    10) Fringe Queen Kimono- At the moment, I have a bit of an obsession with kimonos. I feel like they could be the perfect jacket to pull over everything even in the summer. I currently do not own any so I always like to start out with simple black, but I like the look of all of the patterned ones out there, too. The one in the image is from Forever 21. I would probably like a medium to keep it flowy and comfy. It costs around $23.

    11) iPad- At first I was skeptical about adding this to my Christmas list. I am pretty sure it's too pricy, unless my whole family pooled together to purchase it. However, I thought that I would include it just to demonstrate the absolute desire that I have for one. I will hopefully be getting a post out before the holidays about how I would use it, along with a list of pros and cons. The new iPad Air retails for $499, and I would want it in the color Space Gray.

    12) Kat Von D's Lock-it Tattoo Foundation and Concealer- I am all up for trying some new make-up, and I feel like I am a foundation junky. I would love to try Kat Von D's line that is sold by Sephora. I am guessing that my foundation color would be light 48, and maybe light 18 in concealer (but I'm just guessing based on the images on their site). They cost $34 and $25.

    13) Lucca Couture Dolman Open-Front Cardigan- This super comfy looking sweater is from Urban Outfitters and costs $69. I can not stop looking at it and thinking about how warm and snuggly I would be while wearing it. If it were me, I would probably purchase a medium because I like all of my sweaters and cardigans to be super warm and baggy like a blanket :).

    14) Tie-Dye Socks- Oh, I just thought it was necessary to tell you again that I wanted some super cool looking socks! Please...

    15) Lo Dress- This simple black dress looks very suiting for my body shape, which is why I love it. Plus, I can easily dress it up or play it down. It is another item from Brandy Melville and must be ordered online. It costs $28 and only comes in one size.

    16) Naked Basics OR Naked 2 Pallet- By no means do I need both of these eye shadow pallets. The naked basics is essentially a smaller version of the Naked 2 pallet. Therefore, if you are wanting to spend $52 on the awesome larger pallet for me then I would love that. But, I would be completely happy with the $27 naked basics pallet. Both of these can be purchase through the Urban Decay website, or found at most major make-up stores.

    17) Urban Renewal Pull-On Flannel Skirt- I feel like this fun skirt could go with a lot of the clothes I already have. It suits my style well, and seems to look very warm and comfortable for the fall and winter seasons. It is from Urban Outfitter and costs $49. I would need a size small.

    18) Girly Lace Ankle Sock- Surprisingly, I had a really hard time finding a place that sold socks like these. I really think they could girl-ify some of my more grungy and hardcore looks by peeking the ruffle outside my boots. I found these specific ones at American Apparel for $9.

    19) All-day Chelsea Wedge Boots- I cannot talk enough about these boots. I probably should have made them #1 because I think they are my most wanted thing on this list. From Forever 21, these simple every day boots are reasonably priced at $36.80. I would need a size 8. I just love how their low wedge makes it so they can be worn with everything!

    20) Women's Transit Jacket- This is another one of my expensive desires. This coat is from The North Face and goes for $249. Last year my grandma purchased me a very nice North Face; however, it is a little more like a rain coat/wind breaker. Now don't get me wrong, I love it, and it definitely has it's place--and, so will this new coat. I was looking for something a little heavier, yet very versatile. This is one of their top rated lifestyle coats, and I feel like I would get a lot of use out of it. In all honesty, I have no idea what size I would need--if ordering offline, I would probably purchase a medium. However, I really don't know how these coat sizes run.

    October Favorites

    Good evening critters!

This video is a hopeful new addition to what my routine will be with this blog. In the past, I have had that tab above that is labeled favorites in which I put links to some awesome blogs, site, and other things that I love; so now, I am going to be adding a lovely video to go along with it.
I'd really appreciate it if you would watch my video below, and give it a thumbs up on youtube, too!

I just wanted to give you all a quick list of the things I mentioned in this video again, as well as a written version of my thoughts on them.

    1) Urban Outfitter's Black Bag- This is one of my favorites because I am super obsessed with all of the pockets, the simplicity of the whole look of it, and the versatility of the entire bag. I use this bag everyday for school and work, and I can not get enough of it!

    2) Clean and Clear's Morning Burst Moisturizer- I have become addicted to this stuff because of a sample I got along with my blotting sheets. I have been convinced to by a full size because of it's velvety feel and the cucumber smell. I use this product every morning now; it's made its way into my routine.

    3) Combat Boots- My combat boots are from Journey's. I absolutely love this new fall fashion trend because it's perfect for a comfy outfit with leggings and a sweatshirt, or I can even dress it up with a cute skirt and tights.

    4) Camo Jacket- This Charlotte Russe jacket lets me turn my summer tees into fall fashion statements. I love how I can mix and match camo with nearly anything, and I have basically turned this bold jacket into a fall neutral!

    5) Benefit's Porefessional Primer- Guys, I have never really used a primer before and this one is amazing!! I put it on after my lotion and before my make-up every morning, and it helps to keep everything in place all day. AND It makes me happy to know that this is really good for my skin, too--I can literally see my pores getting smaller everyday.

    6) Bath & Body's Menthe Lip Balm- This is the best fall lip balm for me! I love the minty flavor, and the fact that it doesn't really make my lips feel caked or slimy. I keep this in my purse for any time use. And it is definitely going to become a new essential in my life.

    7) Bath & Body's Menthe Lip Tints- In my opinion, these are the perfect lip glosses. When I put them on I just feel so refreshed and clean because of the minty taste. They really shine up any outfit without making my lips feel sticky or over gooped (is that a word, haha). I would literally recommend these to anyone!

    8) Bath & Body's Heirloom Cranberries Hand Cream- This is another one of my purse essentials. I love the smell of this, and I think it would be perfect for fall or summer. The size is great for me! I can't get enough of this super moisturizing hand cream.

Okay critters, that is all for my favorites this month. I really hoped you enjoyed this style of blog today. Please let me know in the comment section below on what you thought. Also, don't forget to let me know if you have used any of these products before.
Oh, and I'd love to hear from all of you... so, feel free to leave video responses of your October Favorites!!

Daily Blogging (10-20-13) + mini haul

    Good morning critters!

Soooo this video is like super late, and I actually have some very valid excuses as of why. First off, I had planned on posting this sooner; however, I wound up updating my OS to the Maverick edition! (Which is super awesome and absolutely free by the way.) And they change their entire iMovie!!! It's so much better but it also meant a lot of new learning for me. Also, on top of that, after I finally discovered the basics of the new iMovie and began uploading the video to YouTube, YouTube's server had issues. It took me over 24 hours to upload the video... is it even worth it?
Well, I am really sorry for the delay. AND I'd really appreciate it if you could watch my video/mini haul.
Let me know in the comment section below all of your thoughts :)

    Make-up

    Good evening critters!!
Today I went out to run errands hoping to snag me some Mac Cosmetics at Macy's. However, they don't carry it... did you know that? So, they offered to order it for me, BUT the whole reason I came to the store was to make sure it matched my skin perfectly since I have never purchased their products before. Well, I wound up sitting down with a nice lady who worked at Clinigue. She gave me her whole speal (or however you spell that) and, I caved in purchasing a new foundation called stay-matte oil-free makeup. I have minor acne and she tried her best at conning me into purchasing some treatment on their line, but I saved my money and just stuck with the make-up so I could continue using what I have been to treat my face.
So, my review: first off--the woman who helped me at the counter was okay. She gave me answers to the questions I asked and still pushed for me to buy her product. However, on a 1-10 (10 being the best) I would only give her a 6. Why? Because she seemed very spacey, and it often seemed like she wasn't paying attention to me much. Now, the product. I've obviously only just used it considering I bought it today, but so far my first impressions of it are good. It was a little pricey (especially considering the fact that the bottle wasn't even that big), but it has proven to be matte and long lasting like advertised. I wish they had something a little heavier though because I want to cover up my blemishes better; this product was only medium coverage. The woman at the counter said that it was build-able; however, I am scared to do apply multiple layers and become cakey. I plan to give an updated version of this product as we get into summer and it gets hotter. In the mean time... What kind of make-up do you use? What's your favorite concealer or foundation? And if you have acne issues like me, what have you found as your best way of treating it?
    Love you all. Peace out!
    Danyzell
